WestHaven Neighborhood St Vincent Woods New Trail Intro, Ivy-Pull this Sunday!

Westhaven Neighbors,

You may have noticed the recent opening of several trails along the N Johnson Creek corridor just north (downhill) from Providence St Vincent Hospital and east of SW 95th @ Spring Crest Dr. The new forest trail loop has trailhead connections along the service road behind the hospital and Catlin Gabel Schools sports field. Built in anticipation of planned future connections, the trail loop is now open for public use while work continues on plans for better connectivity and amenities such as: signage, benches, and a labyrinth.  See attached photo of St V service road trailhead.

Please consider joining us, this Sunday, Nov 9th  from 10 – 12 in pulling invasive plants. This week’s emphasis will be removing ivy from the standing trees. See the amazing progress and enjoy this special site while working for a couple of hours with friends and neighbors.
