Johnson Creek Cleanup & Neighborhood Work Party: Sunday, August 28th, 2-5pm!

Neighbors For Smart Growth (NFSG) recently applied for and was awarded a grant by the Metro Council to help restore habitat and plan a nature trail along North Johnson Creek between Catlin Gabel School (SW 90th Ave) and SW 95th Ave. During this project, we will be removing invasive plant species and re-planting native species along the stream corridor. The volunteer time that we record will be credited through the Metro program and will help pay for professional trail planning later in the project.

Please join NFSG, community partners, and Westhaven neighbors from 2-5pm on Sunday, August 28th, for a fun and rewarding afternoon of working together to remove ivy and other invasive plant species. We will be working in the woods under the tree canopy to stay cool. Representatives from Tualatin River Watershed Council, and Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District will also be there to provide hand tools and advice.

Hope to see you there!
